Explore How Art Transforms an Area at Northern NJ Community Foundation's Connect the Dots

(Englewood, New Jersey; September 25, 2017) -- Join Englewood's Northern New Jersey Community Foundation's (NNJCF) ArtsBergen's on Thursday, October 19. The NNJCF's ArtsBergen's 2017 Connect the Dots series' fourth learning and networking event takes place at the Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC), located at 102 State St., Hackensack New Jersey. The event is free and open to the public. Co-producers are: City of Hackensack, the Main Street Business Alliance and its Hackensack Creative Arts Team, and New Jersey Creative Placemakers (NJCP).

Celebrate Fall With Oktoberfest at The Community Chest

(Englewood, New Jersey; September 15, 2017) -- The Community Chest welcomes friends this fall to the second annual Oktoberfest at The Community Chest on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. This special event will be held at the Englewood Field Club, located at 341 Engle Street in Englewood, New Jersey from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Admission to the Oktoberfest is $100 per ticket and includes a great selection of craft beers, a light dinner and delicious fare prepared in Bavarian style.

Republicans Vote to Keep Trump Personal & Business Tax Returns Secret

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the House Ways and Means Committee voted down a Resolution of Inquiry filed by U.S. Representative Bill Pascrell, Jr. (NJ-09) directing the Secretary of the Treasury to submit President Trump’s tax returns for tax years 2006 through 2016, as well as tax return information for 515 of President Trump's business entities, to the House of Representatives. The measure failed 21-15 along party lines. (Opening remarks below.)

NJ Supreme Court Approves Changes to Pretrial Release Recommendations for Gun Crimes, Repeat Offenders

The Supreme Court approved changes to Criminal Justice Reform that will lead to recommendations of detention for defendants accused of certain gun crimes and defendants who reoffend while on pretrial release. The changes, proposed by the Administrative Office of the Courts, would impact the release recommendations that result from a risk assessment process called the Public Safety Assessment (PSA.)

NNJCF'S ArtsBergen Selects Englewood Artists for Creative Hackensack’s “Utility ARTBox Project”
